KOffice Documentation jobs
Current state of the KOffice documentation
The table below shows the status of the KOffice documentation as of September 2006. Some applications have had updates for KOffice 1.6, but most applications have remained at version 1.5 and will have to be updated for KOffice 2.0 from there. Besides, due to the high speed of KOffice development, most manuals can use an update anyway.
There are a number of open tasks, if you want to help us creating the user manuals for our next major release, please contact the KOffice documentation coordinator, Sander Koning, or the handbook maintainer - see the table below.
You can find some information on how to write KOffice documentation here, do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Some small jobs are hilighted in the table below. Usually, these do not require deep knowledge of the application(s) involved, so they are an excellent way to start!
| Task Description | Status |
|---|---|
| Update application startup instructions in all handbooks with respect to the new KOffice startup dialog, especially screenshots | |
| Update KOffice general handbook so that it includes less technical text and more information that directly applies to users | |
| Proofread (spell- and grammar-check) the various handbooks and make sure they comply with our style rules | |
| Write sections on general painting for the Krita handbook |
If you want to pick up one of these tasks, send an email to the documentation coordinator so that the task can be assigned to you. Do not hesitate to send an email as well if you have questions of any sort.
