The KOffice GUI Competition has been won by Martin Pfeiffer. His entry was
chosen from eighteen submissions by the jury because of its innovative, ground-breaking
approach to workflow and document handling. The general level of the the entries was

Designers, please open your favorite drawing tool and sharpen your ideas! A competition awarded a prize of $1000 (US dollars) starts today to get new
ideas for the User Interface Design of next coming KOffice 2 which will be
shipped with KDE 4. Submissions to the competition should be GUI mockups
accompanied with a detailed written description of the intended workflow with ideas for
